I JUST (last week) found out I'm accepted to transfer this coming spring. Since I won't be living on campus, I was wondering if there were any craft (sewing, knitting, crochet, ect) student organizations or groups in Austin, that way I won't be holed up in my apartment with my cat all throughout college. I'm looking at the student activities website right now, but I don't think I'm doing something right because I haven't found anything.

I'm considering going to Spain this summer but I'm not sure about this "host family" thing. Have any of y'all lived with a host family? What was it like, did it suck, etc? I just don't wanna lose my independence or anything. Thanks!
